Saint Henry Cross Explained

Saint Henry Cross is a medal given by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. It is an award for ecumenism and strengthening the relations between the church in Finland and its sister churches abroad.[1] [2] Furthermore, it can be awarded for humanitarian and missionary activities. The recipient doesn't have to be a Finnish citizen.[3]

The cross is awarded by the archbishop of Finland.
