Safakulevsky District (ru|Сафакулевский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2280km2.[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Safakulevo. Population: 16,957 (2002 Census); The population of Safakulevo accounts for 27.7% of the district's total population.
