"Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay" (English: "In the Next Life Time") is a song by the Filipino folk-pop band Ben&Ben. It was written by the lead vocalists Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin Guico. The track was released on February 28, 2020. Three years after its release, "Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay" reached number three on Billboard Philippines Songs in early 2024.
The standalone single and lyric video were released on Spotify and YouTube respectively on February 28, 2020.[1]
Released on December 14, 2020, the music video of the song was directed by Jorel Lising, with screenplay from Gaya Sa Pelikula creator Juan Miguel Severo and appearances from Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.[2] The appearance of the pair, popularly known as "KathNiel", is considered as a "dream collab" by the band.[3] When KathNiel broke up in December 2023, the song gained a resurgence in popularity [4]
The song was chosen to be used as the official theme song and part of the soundtrack of the 2023 film Love You Long Time, starring Carlo Aquino and Eisel Serrano as part of the Summer Metro Manila Film Festival
And then around late December 2023 to early 2024, this song was used in a trailer and the soundtrack, as well as the official theme song of the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival entry entitled Rewind starring Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, which further skyrocketed the song's popularity resurgence in early 2024, following the KathNiel breakup.
It was also one of the song numbers used in the Musical Stage Play adaptation of One More Chance entitled produced “One More Chance, The Musical,” by Philippine Educational Theater Association, which utilized many of Ben&Ben's Songs
