SC Scorpion explained

The SC Scorpion is a Ukrainian single-place paraglider that was designed and produced by SC Paragliding of Kharkiv. It is now out of production.[1]

Design and development

The Scorpion was designed as an advanced cross country glider. The models are each named for their wing area in square metres.[1]

Variants

Scorpion 22
  • Extra small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its wing has an area of 22m2, 67 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.5:1. The pilot weight range is 60to.[1]
    Scorpion 25
  • Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its wing has an area of 25m2, 67 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.5:1. The pilot weight range is 70to.[1]
    Scorpion 27
  • Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its wing has an area of 27m2, 67 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.5:1. The pilot weight range is 80to.[1]
    Scorpion 30
  • Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its wing has an area of 30m2, 67 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.5:1. The pilot weight range is 95to.[1]
