Rybnica is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Klimontów, within Sandomierz County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. It lies approximately 7km (04miles) south-west of Klimontów, 260NaN0 west of Sandomierz, and 650NaN0 south-east of the regional capital Kielce.[1]
During the January Uprising, on 20 October 1863, it was the site of the Battle of Rybnica, in which Polish insurgents commanded by Dionizy Czachowski defeated Russian troops.
