Ryan Sullivan (artist) explained

Ryan Sullivan (born 1983)^{[1] [2]} is an American painter.^[3]

Biography

Sullivan attended the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and graduated in 2005.^{[4] [5]} Sullivan worked as a painting assistant to Ross Bleckner and Laura Owens.

His first solo exhibition was in 2015 at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami. Sullivan has exhibited at various museums and galleries worldwide, including The High Line,^[6] MoMA PS1;^[7] Kunstmuseum Bonn;^[8] Hydra Workshop, Greece, Flag Art Foundation, New York;^[9] Sadie Coles HQ, London;^[10] Maccarone, New York;^[11] Rubell Family Foundation, Miami;^[12] White Flag Projects, Saint Louis;^[13] and Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome.^[14]

In 2013, he was artist-in-residence at Chinati Foundation, Marfa, Texas^[15] and the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Captiva, Florida.
