Ry (in French pronounced as /ʁi/) is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France.

Geography

A farming village situated by the banks of the small river Crevon, some 12miles northeast of Rouen at the junction of the D12, D13, D62 and the D93 roads.

The village of Yonville in Gustave Flaubert's Madame Bovary is traditionally held to have been based on Ry.
