Rud Zard-e Mashin (Persian: رودزردماشين) is a city in, and the capital of, Rud Zard District of Ramhormoz County, Khuzestan province, Iran.[2] It also serves as the administrative center for Jereh Rural District.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 2,625 in 533 households, when it was a village in Howmeh-ye Sharqi Rural District of the Central District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,344 people in 527 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 2,252 people in 588 households, by which time the village had been transferred to Mamatin Rural District created in the new Rud Zard District.[3] It was the most populous village in its rural district.[6]

After the census, Rud Zard-e Mashin was elevated to the status of a city.[7]
