James McIlroy Thompson (18 February 1905 – 1 June 1981) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL).[1]

Thompson served in the Garrison Artillery at Queenscliff before joining the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II.[2]
