Liang is the youngest of a low-income family's seven children. He earned a BS in Education with majors in physics, chemistry, and biology.
In March, 2022, Liang was promoted Philippine Army first lieutenant, having been a Philippine Army Reserve Command reservist since 2020.[5]
Liang started working part-time as a ramp model until his manager discovered that Liang could sing and encouraged him to join singing contests. Among these was the Pinoy Pop Superstar.
Liang then joined Pinoy Dream Academy and made it past the initial screening as one of the 20 scholars to study within the academy. After a few months, Ronnie made it to the Honor's List of Six and ended up as PDA's second runner-up.
Liang now is being managed by Viva Artist Agency.
