Roman Catholic Diocese of Monte Cassino explained

The Diocese of Monte Cassino (Latin: Dioecesis Cassinensis) was a Roman Catholic diocese located in Monte Cassino, a rocky hill on the former site of the Roman town of Casinum about southeast of Rome, Italy, to the west of the modern town of Cassino.[1] [2] It was erected on 2 May 1322 and suppressed in December 1367.[3]
