Roland Luc Béchoff (July 28, 1906, in Paris January 1, 2006) in La Rochelle, was a fighter pilot of the World War II and a French politician.
He graduated from HEC Paris and has a PhD in law.
Sub-prefect, he enlisted in 1939 as a fighter pilot officer.
He reached London via the Pyrenees, Spain and Portugal.[1]
He was a pilot in the Free French Air Force (FAFL)[2] in the Royal Air Force Squadron No. 340 (Free French), aka the Fighter Group G.C 4/2 "Île-de-France" and in Squadron No. 611.
After the war, he returned to the administration as prefect of Haute-Loire from July 15, 1945, to July 24, 1946, prefect of Orne from July 24, 1946, to May 4, 1950, then prefect of La Réunion from June 1, 1950, to July 4, 1952.
He was then appointed prefect of Savoie on January 29, prefect of Morbihan on March 19, 1957; prefect of Loir-et-Cher on April 25, 1957, and prefect of Oasis on September 27, 1957.
