Rokitno is a village in Biała County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland, close to the border with Belarus.[1] It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Rokitno. It lies approximately 15km (09miles) north-east of Biała Podlaska and 1090NaN0 north-east of the regional capital Lublin.

Early history

The land of Rokitno was originally owned by Princess Anila Rzyszczewska.[2] Rokitno was once thought to have been a much larger town, extending eastward to the villages of Sohov and Osnitzek, prior to being reduced by decree.
