Righteous Vendetta is an American metalcore band that originated in Cody, Wyoming.

History

Righteous Vendetta was formed in 2008 at Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyoming by Ryan Hayes (vocals), Zach Paris (drums) and Derek Workman (Electric Guitar), all formerly of the band "Silent Awakening" in Cody, Wyoming.[1] The band has played shows with acts such as P.O.D., Skillet, Red, and Taproot.[2] [3] The band was signed to Red Cord Records[4] but are now signed with Century Media Records. The band has released three full-length albums and three EPs. The band's lineup from 2013 to 2016 was Ryan Hayes (vocals), Justin Olmstead (guitars), Carl Heiman (guitars), Riley Haynie (bass guitar), and Zack Goggins (drums),[5] until Heiman departed from the band and was replaced by Justin Smith.

In March and April 2018, the ensemble toured with Lacey Sturm, Red and Messer.[6] [7]

The single "Kill the Lights" was released on September 6, 2019.[8] The song was intended for the album Not Dead Yet, which was fully recorded and mixed before being scrapped after the band were signed to Century Media. On June 13, 2020, the band released the song "Gunpowder" as a single, another song from Not Dead Yet.[9]
