Rice Township is one of 23 townships in Jo Daviess County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 338 and it contained 268 housing units.[1] It was formed as Washington Township from East Galena Township on February 22, 1859; its name changed to Rice Township on June 16, 1859.
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of, of which (or 82.15%) is land and (or 17.85%) is water.[1]
The township contains Prospect Hill Methodist Episcopalian Cemetery.
