Reem Khamis (born 7 December 2002)[1] is a German karateka. She is part of the German National Team since mid 2021. She won the gold medal in the women's kumite 61kg event at the 2023 European Games held in Poland.[2] [3] She also won the gold medal in her event at the 2023 European Karate Championships held in Guadalajara, Spain.[4]
Khamis won the silver medal in the women's U-21 61kg event at the 2022 World Cadet, Junior and U21 Karate Championships held in Konya, Turkey.[5]
Her success made her lead in the world ranking under U21. Currently she is ranked 2 in the world seniors ranking as well.
She studies mechanical engineering at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.[6]
She becomes this year’s Grand Winner in the Female -61kg Category by winning two bronze medals and a silver medal at three of the four Premier League events of this year.
She won one of the bronze medals in the women's 61kg event at the 2024 European Karate Championships held in Zadar, Croatia.[7] She also won the gold medal in the women's team kumite event.[7]
