Rat's Brains & Microchips is the third studio album by American punk band Lost Sounds. It was released on October 29, 2002 by Empty Records, as their second and final album with the label.

Background

The whole album was recorded digitally on Tronic Graveyard in 2002, and at its release, helped advance Lost Sounds' popularity, with an increased income in tours and merchandise. The album ended up as their final album with Empty due to competition with record labels wanting to sign Lost Sounds, including John Reis, founder of Swami Records, who wanted to produce an album with the band. The band would later tour with Rocket from the Crypt, one of Reis' bands.[1]
