He also served the party as District President BJP (1997–2003) and as the Vice President BJP Delhi Pradesh (2003–2008). Since 2008, he has occupied the position of General Secretary, BJP Delhi Pradesh. He joined BJP and has thrice been the MLA from Tughlakabad.

Controversy

During a discussion in parliament on 21 September 2023, Bidhuri abused Bahujan Samaj Party MP Kunwar Danish Ali using Islamophobic slurs, calling him a terrorist. These comments were condemned by parliamentarians and political leaders across party lines.[7] [8] BJP issued a show cause notice to him for his remarks. However, no actions were taken against him by the speaker Om Birla.[9] Bidhuri later on expressed regret for his objectionable remarks.[10] In 2015, five women Oppn MPs had, in a complaint to then Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, accused South Delhi BJP MP Bidhuri of 'abusive behaviour' and using 'sexist, abusive and derogatory' language in the House.[11]
