Rakowice is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ząbkowice Śląskie, within Ząbkowice Śląskie County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1]
It lies approximately 8km (05miles) north-east of Ząbkowice Śląskie, and 55km (34miles) south of the regional capital Wrocław.
The name of the village is of Polish origin and comes from the word rak, which means "crayfish".[2] [3]
