Rachel Kleinfeld Explained
Rachel Kleinfeld is an American international relations scholar currently serving as a senior fellow in the Democracy, Conflict, and Governance Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.[1] [2] [3] [4] She is a member of the National Endowment for Democracy's board of directors and a trustee of Freedom House.[5] [6] Her research centers around democratic governance and political violence.
Early life and education
Kleinfeld was born and raised in Alaska. She holds a BA in ethics, politics, and economics from Yale College, as well as a MPhil and DPhil in International Relations from Oxford University. She was a Rhodes Scholar.[1] [7]
Career
Kleinfeld co-founded the Truman National Security Project in 2005 along with Matthew Spence.[8] She was named one of the 40 under 40 American political leaders by Time magazine.[9]
