This enzyme belongs to the family of transferases, specifically those acyltransferases transferring groups other than aminoacyl groups. The systematic name of this enzyme class is feruloyl-CoA:quinate O-(hydroxycinnamoyl)transferase. This enzyme is also called hydroxycinnamoyl coenzyme A-quinate transferase.
