Future bus rapid-way

The proposed Queen Street-Highway 7 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor is "poised to be a game-changer for Brampton and Vaughan".[1] This project aims to address the city's growing transportation challenges while stimulating economic growth and enhancing quality of life.[2] Key benefits of a BRT on Queen Street include:[3]

Next StepsTo move forward with the Queen Street BRT, several key steps need to be taken:

Special designation of concurrency with Highway 410

Peel Regional Road 107 also marked the former end to Highway 410 until it was extended to Mayfield Road in 2007. Upon the intersection / exchange at Highway 410, the Peel Regional Route 107 seemed to disappear, and re-appear upon the interchange with Queen Street. This is because Peel Regional Road 107 marked the original route taken by Highway 7. Before downloading in 1997, Highway 7 had a concurrency with Highway 410 for 3.1 km. Provincial Highway 7 designation is still in effect west of the Peel Region / Halton Region boundary. The road (Bovaird Drive section west of Highway 410) is originally Highway 7, but after the downloading recently, the road is maintained by the Peel Region government.

Bovaird Drive east of Highway 410 is marked as Peel Regional Road 10 until Airport Road.
