Pyshchugsky District (ru|Пы́щугский райо́н) is an administrative[2] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1966km2.[4] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Pyshchug. Population: 6,176 (2002 Census); The population of Pyshchug accounts for 60.3% of the district's total population.
