Pushyamitra Bhargav is an Indian politician, lawyer and social activist from Indore, Madhya Pradesh.[1] [2] [3] [4] He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.[5] [6] He is currently serving as the 24th Mayor of Indore following a successful run against Sanjay Shukla during the 2022 Indore mayoral election.[7] [8]

He has also served as the youngest Additional Advocate General of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.[9] [10] As mayor, he requested that shops in Indore display replicas of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and warned that residents “know how to respond to those who fail to cooperate”.
