Plot

Professor Krishna Rao is a great educationist, his wife, Padmavati, and progeny, Shekar & Chitra. He is aloof from the family, and it runs in the blink. Padmavati spends her life modernistic, and she also accustoms Chitra to it. Shekar turns into an alcoholic because of the void of love. The exclusive is Shanti Krishna Rao's foster daughter, who showers endearment on all. Shekar, too, dotes on her. Lecturer Prakash, a new appointee, lives with his blind mother, Parvati. He walks to Krishna Rao under his thesis and falls for Shanti. Time worsens for the unmethodical family: Shekar quits the house since his mother misinterprets his bondage with Shanti. Judge Lakshmana Rao's son Ramesh, a debaucher, snares Chitra, and she conceives. Being conscious of it, Padmavati is shamefaced and regrets her rearing. Now, Shanti informs Shekar of the status quo, and he collars Ramesh. At that point, Lakshmana Rao discovers everything, rectifies Ramesh, and sets foot to couple the two. Till then, it's too late as Chitra consumes poison, and Ramesh ties the knot to her at the last minute. The tragedy profoundly impacts Krishna Rao's couple when Shekar retrieves as reformed and aids his family. Here, as a flabbergast, Prakash ascertains Krishna Rao is his false father and loathes him for hoodwinking his mother. Once, Krishna Rao heads to Prakash when he knows the fact and remorsefully begs to meet Parvati, which he denies. Krishna Rao collapses and divulges the actuality to Shekar. Indeed, when young, Krishna Rao knitted a Parvati, who lost her vision owing to a birth deformity. So, he expelled her, feeling it was a betrayal, and by the time she was pregnant. Listening to it, Shekar speeds & brings Parvati by convincing Prakash and reuniting the family. Finally, the movie ends happily with the marriage of Prakash & Shanti.
