Pudhu Vasantham is an 2023 Indian Tamil-language television series that premiered on 26 June 2023 on Sun TV and streams digitally on Sun NXT.[2] It stars Soniya Suresh and Shyam Ji in the lead roles. The show was directed by R. Karthikeyan and produced by M.Paramesh under the banner of Peacock Studios and Sun Entertainment.this show airs at 1:30 pm IST.
The story revolves around Selvi, who is raised as a single child. Selvi longs for the loving embrace and heart-warming bond of a joint family. And when her dream comes true, watch her battle all odds and win over her husband's large family.
In End of May 2023, the series was announced by Sun Entertainment, highlighting the issue of Joint family.[3] The first promo of the series was released on 14 June 2023 and featured the female lead.[4]
Shyam Ji was cast as the protagonist Velu, by making this her first lead role. Marking his return after Abhiyum Naanum. Telugu television actress Soniya Suresh was cast as the female lead Selvi,[5] making his debut in Tamil television dramas. Actress Gowthami Vembunatham was cast as Velu's mother Karpagam.[6]
In July 2023, actress Shanthi Williams and Vaishnavi Nayak were signed to play as Mother and Daughter in Negative Role.[7]
The show started airing on Sun TV on 26 June 2023 on Monday to Saturday. replacing Thalattu serial.[8]
