Pterygota (plant) explained
Pterygota is a genus of flowering plants in the family Malvaceae.
In older systems of classification, it was placed in Sterculiaceae, but all members of that family are now in an expanded Malvaceae.
Pterygota has a pantropical distribution.[1]
