Pseudotyrannochthonius hamiltonsmithi is a species of pseudoscorpion in the Pseudotyrannochthoniidae family. It is endemic to Australia. It was described in 1968 by Austrian arachnologist Max Beier.[1]
The body length is 1.7–2 mm. The colour is mainly olive-brown, with the chelicerae and pedipalps pale reddish-brown.
The species occurs in the Western District of Victoria. The type locality is Mount Widderin Cave, Skipton, 166 km west of Melbourne.[1]
The pseudoscorpions are cave-dwelling, terrestrial predators.[1]
