Pseudafroneta pallida explained

Pseudafroneta pallida is a species of sheet weaver spider endemic to New Zealand.^[1]

Taxonomy

This species was described in 1979 by A.D Blest from male and female specimens. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.

Description

The male is recorded at 2.4mm in length whereas the female is 2.32mm. The male has a yellow cephalothorax and yellow legs. The abdomen is grey with dark and pale markings. The female has different abdomen markings.

Distribution

This species is known from scattered localities throughout New Zealand.

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Not Threatened".^[2]
