Primo Zamparini (9 February 1939 – 21 August 2024) was an Italian bantamweight boxer who won a silver medal at the 1960 Olympics.[1] After winning a bronze at the 1961 European Amateur Boxing Championships in Belgrade, he turned professional, and had a record of 16 wins (7 by knockout), 6 losses and 6 draws. He was nicknamed "macchina di pugni" (punching machine).[2] He retired in 1966.[3] After his retirement he founded the amateur club Pugilistica Fabrianese, where he also served as a coach.

Zamparini died in Fabriano on 21 August 2024 from the consequences of a fall, at the age of 85.[4]
