Posey Township is one of thirteen townships in Franklin County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,040,[3] down from 1,051 at 2010.[4]
Posey Township is named for Thomas Posey, second Governor of Indiana Territory.[5]
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of, of which (or 99.67%) is land and (or 0.33%) is water.[4]
