Porto Ceresio (Varesino: Pòrt Cerési) is a comune (municipality) on Lake Lugano in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 50km (30miles) northwest of Milan and about 11km (07miles) northeast of Varese, on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,080 and an area of 5.1km2.[1]

Porto Ceresio borders the following municipalities: Besano, Brusimpiano, Brusino Arsizio (Switzerland), Cuasso al Monte, Meride (Switzerland), Morcote (Switzerland). The Comune is situated not far away from the Cinque Vette Park
