Poplar River Township is a township in Red Lake County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 125 at the 2000 census.

In reference to the 2020 population census, the population was at 117. As of 2022, according to City population, it was estimated to be at 115.[3]

This township took its name from the Poplar River.[4]
