Polovinsky District (Russian: Половинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 2728km2. Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo of Polovinnoye. Population: 16,295 (2002 Census); The population of Polovinnoye accounts for 37.9% of the district's total population.
