Pokruchinsky is located in forest steppe, on Khopyorsko-Buzulukskaya Plain, on the bank of the Khopyor River, 36 km northwest of Kumylzhenskaya (the district's administrative centre) by road. Sidorovka is the nearest rural locality.[4]
