Pointe Vele Airport is an airport serving Futuna Island in the French overseas territory of Wallis and Futuna. The airport is located 10km (10miles) east of Leava.
The airport resides at an elevation of 20feet above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 07/25 with an asphalt surface measuring 1100mx25mm (3,600feetx82feetm).
On 10 January 2016, the weather station at the airport recorded a temperature of 35.8C, which is the highest temperature to have ever been recorded in Wallis and Futuna.[1]
