Pinanga tashiroi explained

Pinanga tashiroi is a species of palm tree in the family Arecaceae. It is a small tree, up to 5m (16feet) tall, swollen at base.[1] It is a critically endangered species.

Distribution

Pinanga tashiroi is found only on Orchid Island (Lan Yu) off the southeastern coast of Taiwan ; it is thus endemic to Taiwan.[2]

Its natural habitat is lowland rain forest below 500m (1,600feet).[1]
