Phylace (Arcadia) Explained

Phylace or Phylake (Greek, Ancient (to 1453);: Φυλακή, Phylakē) was a town of ancient Arcadia, upon the frontiers of Tegea and Laconia, where the Alpheius rises.

Its site is located west of the modern Vourvoura.
