Phlegra (spider) explained

Phlegra is a genus of jumping spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1876.[1] The name is a reference to a mythical location in both Greek and Roman mythology.

Species

it contains seventy-nine species and one subspecies, found in Eurasia and Africa, with one species (P. hentzi) occurring only in North America:[2]
