Petropavlovsky District (Russian: Петропа́вловский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the southeastern central part of the krai. The area of the district is 1618km2.[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Petropavlovskoye. Population: The population of Petropavlovskoye accounts for 21.2% of the district's total population.
