Sydney John Peter Booth, Baron Booth[1] is a British businessman and politician. He was born in Houghton-le-Spring in the northeast of England, and lived there until attending the University of Essex where he took a bachelor's degree in government. He has been the Chairman of the National Conservative Convention since 2021, and is Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party Board. Booth was nominated by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for a life peerage[2] [3] and was created Baron Booth, of Houghton-le-Spring in the City of Sunderland, on 7 March 2024.[1]
