Pereschepyne (Ukrainian: Перещепине, pronounced as /uk/) is a small city in Novomoskovsk Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine. It is located north of the administrative center of the oblast, Dnipro. Pereshchepyne hosts the administration of Pereshchepyne urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine.[1] Population: In 2001, the population was 10,041.
The first written mention of Pereshchepyne dates back to 1764. It was then a part of the of the Nova Sich. According to the Account of a former Cossack ... M. L. Korzh, Pereshchepyne is named listed the 17 oldest Cossack settlements in the Katerynoslav region.[2]
