Due to Dwarfism, Grant's adult height was 4ft 4in (1.32m).[3] In Labyrinth, he played a member of the Goblin Corps and was a stunt double for the actor portraying the character Hoggle. As a stunt double, Grant appeared in Legend and Willow. After a few minor roles in the 1980s, Grant stopped acting, but briefly came back to the film industry in 2001, when he had an uncredited role as a goblin in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
Prior to his death, Grant revealed that he had struggled with drug and alcohol problems.[4] [5]
