Patrik Hájek Explained
Patrik Hájek (born 11 November 1998) is a Czech hammer thrower. He is a multiple time national champion.[1]
Life
Hájek was born on 11 November 1998 in Jablonec nad Nisou.[2]
Career
From Jablonec, he is a member of Dukla Prague.[3] He won his first Czech national title in August 2020 in Plzeň.[4] He would go on to win four consecutive national titles, winning his fourth in July 2023 in Tábor.[5]
He competed at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in the hammer throw.[6] [7]
He competed in the 2024 European Championships in Rome in the hammer throw, where he threw 72.72 metres.[8] [9] [10]
He was selected for the 2024 Paris Olympics.[11]
