Pascal Chaigneau, born in 1956, is a university professor and lawyer, specializing in international relations.

Biography

University professor, president of the political science section at the University of Paris, he was admitted to the exceptional class in 2014 and to the emeritus in 2021. Professor affiliated with the economics department of HEC Paris, he is director of the HEC Center for Geopolitics, scientific director of the master's degree in geopolitics and geo-economics of the HEC-UMVIP emergence and of the double degree with Sciences Po.[1]

A lawyer at the Paris Bar since 1990, specialist in international law, he has been of counsel at the Szpiner firm since 2010. An international relations expert in the French Navy. He served in the operational reserve until the age limit, 64, and rank, Captain.[2]

Founder (1986) of the Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies with consultative status with the United Nations, he was foreign trade advisor (1996–2006) and administrator of Radio France Internationale (2002–2012). A founding member (2012) of Academics Without Borders, he has taught in the US, China, and several African universities.[3]

He is a visiting professor at the Sorbonne in Abu Dhabi. Seminar director at the École de guerre (from 1998 to 2012), he is (since 2013) director of the chair of geopolitics at the École des officiers de la gendarmerie nationale (EOGN).[4]
