Parinari metallica explained

Parinari metallica is a tree in the family Chrysobalanaceae. The specific epithet Latin: [[:wikt:metallicus|metallica]] is from the Latin meaning "metallic', referring to the metallic sheen on the leaves when dried.

Description

Parinari metallica grows up to 20m (70feet) tall. Inflorescences measure from 4cm (02inches) to 10cm (00inches) long.

Distribution and habitat

Parinari metallica is endemic to Borneo. Its habitat is mixed dipterocarp forests from sea-level to 300m (1,000feet) altitude.
