Offuman is a town in the Bono East Region of Ghana.[1] Offuman, which is pronounced by the natives as "Fuman"That is our ancient ancestors called our home town " FUMAN " It an ancient town in Bono East Region in the Techiman North District of today's Bono East Region of Ghana. It is located at the North-Wastern part of Techiman, 21 kilometers from Tuobodom. It also lies 13 Km South-West of Wenchi. We are older than tows around us, Nkyeraa, Anyima,Agyina, Amooama, Branam, Nwoase and Subinso . OFFUMAN DAMPAASO ROYAL and Nwoase Royal are the Same people's, it is DAMPAASO ROYAL famies who Created Nwoase. Also Akete, Subinja, Kokoago, Agyina, Amoam, Anyima, Subinso and Branam is our territory. We are the pioneers in this land. Offuman DAMPAASO ROYAL has given this land to those Chief's. This independent Chief's are aware of it, We Offuman DAMPAASO ROYAL has granted them. Offuman now has a population over 9,277 The king (Omanhene in the Akan language) of Offuman in the 18th century, until the 1930s was Dikro Nana Kwame Ankomah FUMAN/Offuman hene/Chief. In reality Asona hene is the only Chief in Offuman those days. Asona hene save Nana Ameyaw, Bono hene for many Countries as ASONA HENE in Techiman Palace as Chief executives with his Brother Nana Benkum hene of Techiman traditional council (Techiman Forikrom hene) After Dikro Nana Kwame Ankomah passed away, his nephew continued as the next Chief. Now, Nephew of Dikro Nana Kwame Ankomah has succeded his Nana Kwame Gyamfi Kumanini, he rule duing the Gold Coast time until 1991 an he passed away, his nephew Nana Yaw Boahen became the successor when he (Nana Kwame Gyamfi Kumanini) passed away. In the early days, the only elementary school in Offuman was the Wesley Methodist School .[2] [3] The school is a second cycle institution.[4]
