The Obesity Prize for Excellence is an international prize awarded annually by the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO)[1] in collaboration with the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The prize recognizes extraordinary scientific contributions to obesity research and highlights ground-breaking discoveries that improve the understanding, prevention and treatment of obesity.[2] [3]

The goal is to honor researchers who have made significant advances in the understanding of the mechanisms behind obesity, the development of treatments or policy initiatives to combat obesity.
The award is given to recognize outstanding research or technological contributions to the understanding of obesity, including its causes, complications, prevention and treatment.
