Nové Dvory is a municipality and village in Příbram District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants.

Administrative parts

The village of Krámy is an administrative part of Nové Dvory.

Etymology

The name literally means 'new courts'.

Geography

Nové Dvory is located about northeast of Příbram and 25km (16miles) south of Prague. It lies in the Benešov Uplands. The highest point is a nameless hill at 455m (1,493feet) above sea level.

History

The first written mention of Nové Dvory is from 1432.[2] Krámy was first mentioned in 1304.[3]

Transport

There are no railways or major roads passing through the municipality.

Sights

Nové Dvory is poor in monuments. The only protected cultural monument is a rural homestead from the 18th century.[4]
