Nová Ves (German: Neudorf bei Bernau) is a municipality and village in Český Krumlov District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants.

Nová Ves lies approximately 17km (11miles) north of Český Krumlov, 17km (11miles) west of České Budějovice, and 128km (80miles) south of Prague.

Administrative parts

The village of České Chalupy is an administrative part of Nová Ves.

History

The first written mention of Nová Ves is from 1379.[2] From 1938 to 1945, it was annexed to Nazi Germany and administered as a part of the Reichsgau Oberdonau.
